A list of active volcanoes last week is posted for a feedback loop in May and June. After two great quakes (8.6M and 8.2M) in Indonesia on April 11, volcanoes in the area are remarkably quiet. That could change in a single day.
Also, Dutchsinse noticed there were eight 6M quakes in the last week. That's exactly what one would expect to see after several great quakes and almost-great quakes, like the 8.6M, 8.2M, and 7.4M quakes in Indonesia and Mexico. Dutch didn't notice that five of the quakes were in the Indonesia-Mexico-Chile triangle and the other three were in the TimeStar facet for March through September. Chile-Argentina are the pivot on which activity in the Pacific hinges, and new crop anomalies with UFOs were reported in Argentina in April.

The Weekly Volcanic Activity Report is a cooperative project between the Smithsonian's Global Volcanism Program and the US Geological Survey's Volcano Hazards Program. Updated by 2300 UTC every Wednesday, notices of volcanic activity posted on these pages are preliminary and subject to change as events are studied in more detail. This is not a comprehensive list of all of Earth's volcanoes erupting during the week, but rather a summary of activity at volcanoes that meet criteria discussed in detail in the "Criteria and Disclaimers" section. Carefully reviewed, detailed reports on various volcanoes are published monthly in the Bulletin of the Global Volcanism Network.
