     Ida could not find the story [of earth changes the Atlanteans predicted] in her published books.  She says, "I suppose it appeared in the Conference Proceedings Journal for l989, that was the tenth year celebration of the start of the Conference in Laramie, Wyoming.

     "Both parts [of the prophecies about earth changes the Atlanteans described to Ida] were delivered at UFO Conferences, at Laramie, Wyoming held by sponsorship of Dr. Leo Sprinkle.  The first was in l980, the second part was at the ten year meeting in l989." 

     The Leo Spring Award was given to Ida at the 22nd Rocky Mountain UFO Conference at the University of Wyoming - Laramie for her contributions to the advancement of UFO Research in 2001.  

    Ida presented forecasts for earth and social changes the Atlanteans had described at two Rocky Mountain UFO Conferences, one in 1980 and the other in 1989.  

l989,  AMORTO:

    The first conference held in May 1980 was the beginning of a ten year period of doubt and questioning.

    At that time we delivered through Ida and others an outline of our general purposes in coming into your world and intoo your notice.

    We are but one of many factions of instructors from many alien sources.  Our particular purpose was to awaken an interest in psychic phenomena and the science of psychic development among your people.  We have worked industriously at this for ten years and have seen the interest in all such related topics as would fit uner the New Age banner.  We do not taske credit for these developments. you individuals have done that, but we have been the awakeners to the veracity of such studies and we have propelled the manner
in which many studies have been carried out.

     Our precise course has been varied and never straight line, always in circumlocutions  and round-about ways.  You have all complained many times that we are devious and not always trustworthy but over the course of this time many of you have come to understand that there was a reasonable purpose and truth to what we were saying and for the various actions that we were prompting you to undertake.

    Henceforth our instructions  will be open and direct to those of you who are willing to go along a short time more with us.

    At the first conference here, ten years ago, we stated one of our main purposes was to help in the reconstruction of the earth and in the evolution of Man.  Many of you can attest that the activities you have undertaken under our guidance and coercion have been along these lines.

    The reconstruction or rejuvenation of Earth is a gigantic task but good steps are being made daily in that direction.

    Not many of you have been in the area of Gas Hills, Wyoming.  Go, if you want to see miles and miles of Manmade mountains--waste material from uranium mining.  It is a shock to the sight!  Yet, a project is now being discussed to pour back as much as possible of this waste material into the holes it came out of.   This is but a fairly local example of Eart rejuvenationwhich will be seen more and more as the years progress.  People are awakened to the need to repair the damages to Nature that have been so  thoughtlessly wrought over the past 50-75 years.  You can read about more examples and statistics in the daily news.  It is happening.

    Our second and larger purpose is to aid in the evolution of Man through his psychic and spiritual awakenings and development, and we see a proliferation of books, workshops, other aids and courses of instruction which are helping in these developments.  Behind mush of this so called "New Age Development"  you will find a contactee or two patiently dridging away at his assigned task..  Our workers do not all announce themselves.  We hope many will dare to do so in the future.

    One more reference to the first UFO conference at Laramie.  Our instructor whom you know as Hweig channeled  the following message through Ida:

1980 - CHANGES ARE COMING!    

    Changes are coming!  Earth changes as you know.  Not to the point of utter catastrophe, as some have prophesied, but like Mt. St. Helens as an example.  There will be more of this ALL OVER THE WORLD!    Earthquakes, tidal waves, other changes.    There is going to be changes in political structures. in social structures that come on so fast!   They are going to crumble from within.  It will not be outer war, it will be the inner harvest of their own misdeeds.  This seems to be coming into focus faster than we had believed possible.   People must be strong.  They will see something they have believed in all their lives crumble.  They must understand this is only he removal of the old before the building of the new.  The old is crumbling from its  own activities.  There will be such a state of shock.  The new must be brought from a stronger, perhaps wiser  source, not necessarily us, but through us from wiser people!   And I speak for world-wide.

    Has any of this taken place?  Briefly consider political changes and the shortcomings of our governing body.  Changes are taking place, and there is crumbling from within.  But the new will build upon the ashes of the old, like the Phoenix rising.  Consider the financial institutions.  New regulations must eliminate such shocks as the Wall Street insider trading scandals and the later revelations concerning Savings and Loan who use and rick your money and may not have a cent of their own invested.

    As we bgin to take notice and peer into the inner workings of some of the most sacroscant institutions we begin to see the decay and hollowness and the fabric crumbles before our eyes.....Hweig.

    This is only the  beginning of the changes Hweig foresaw at the conference ten years ago.  More-bigger--faster is the way of the immediate future,  But then comes reconstruction, and that is where we, the instructors from the UFOs and our contactees have been trained, and wait, each to do his part, large or small..   Those of you who are contactees know what I mean.
