Matthew sent this Earthweek that reports a radical increase in dead zones in seas from America's East Coast to the Adriatic. Nitrogen is the main culprit, according to the report.
This may explain the impetus for NASA's study of inorganic and organic nitrogen that concluded America's soil is saturated with inorganic nitrogen NOT found in long-living rain forests. Does it strike anyone else that NASA's study of American soil is odd?
