Gestalts of events in widely separated cultures within the same epochs indicate something more than chance works through mind. Recognizing connectedness of events that share no apparent common cause, Jung elucidated sequences that exceed statistical probabilities with his theory of Synchronicity . In this theory events that are inexplicable with chance but are empirically intelligible suggest an interrelation of both psychic and physical factors that Jung tested with an astrological experiment.

The sun was revered as the mentor of life representing creative Intelligence in zodiacs of the oldest civilizations on Earth. Derived from the Greek "zoidiakos" literally meaning "circle", the zodiac's 12 houses mapped the Earth-sun and sun-cosmos relationships. Zodiacs predicting geophysical and social events in ancient Sumer later appeared in Egypt and Greece. Knowledge of the planets was stripped out of the zodiac and born again with a new paradigm as modern astronomy in Europe during the Age of Reason. Since ancient astronauts introduced the zodiac in Sumer the world view had radically changed when the Age of Reason was salvaged from the Holy Roman Empire.

In Sumer the zodiac was drawn side-by-side with maps showing Earth as the seventh planet when entering the solar system near Pluto and traveling towards the sun. Copernicus' discovery that the Earth orbited the sun contradicting Rome's declaration that the sun orbited the Earth carried a penalty of torture and death in 16th Century Europe. Typical of reactionary movements, modern science rejected all metaphysical implications in its revolt against religious dogma. Struggling to define the cosmos without metaphysical implications, modern science has continually encountered traces of ancient astronauts at summits of discovery.

After surmising that a dwarf star must orbit Sirius A due to its wobble in the mid-19th Century, the first photos of the dwarf known as Sirius B were taken in 1970. Between 1946 and 1950, Dogon tribesmen in Africa explained to antropologists the Sirius star system's structure, orbits and periods, knowledge endowed by ancient astronauts. All that modern science has discovered about Sirius in 500 years was known for millennia in Africa, where ancient Egypt's calendar was based on Sirius.

In recent research, English scientists have again encountered the reality that solar cycles govern the conditions of Earth, with periods of global warming and cooling corresponding with the ancient zodiac. Not surprisingly, the last global warming that produced glacial melt between 12,000 - 13,000 years ago corresponds with the mid-point of ancient astrology's 26,000-year great cycle. Like the current disintegration of the Antarctic, the ice caps distintegrated before slipping to cause the Great Deluge during the same period the magnetic poles shifted about 12,000 years ago.

"Global warming may not be caused by humanity's fossil fuel emissions, but could be due to changes in the Sun.

"Research suggests that the magnetic flux from the Sun more than doubled this century. As solar magnetism is closely linked with sunspot activity and the strength of sunlight reaching Earth, the increase could have produced warming in the global climate.

"The evidence for an increasingly energetic Sun comes from a new analysis of the magnetic field between the planets, carried out by scientists at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, near Oxford, UK.

"Solar Wind
"This magnetic field is caused by the Solar Wind, a stream of particles given off by the Sun which fills the solar system. The scientists produce evidence that since 1964 the interplanetary magnetic field has increased in strength by 40%. Evidence from before the space age suggests that the magnetic field is 2.3 times stronger than it was in 1901.

"Scientists do not doubt that the increased magnetic field results from a more energetic Sun. Their problem is that the effect of these increases on the Earth is unknown.

"Not our fault?
"The research is published in Nature and in the same journal Professor Eugene Parker, of the Laboratory for Astrophysics and Space Research, University of Chicago, comments that it could explain global warming.

"He notes that the increased solar activity has occurred in parallel with an increase in carbon dioxide in the Earth's atmosphere. And it may not be a coincidence, he says.

"Professor Parker suggests that the Sun's increased activity caused the Earth's global temperature to rise and that in turn warmed the oceans.

"Warmer oceans absorb less carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. So a warmer Earth has more of the so-called greenhouse gases. Humanity's burning of fossil fuels may therefore not be the cause of global warming.

"Perilous plans
"Professor Parker adds that that more research must be done about the Sun's role in global warming before drastic action is taken here on Earth.

"'It is essential to check to what extent the facts support these conclusions before embarking on drastic, perilous and perhaps misguided plans for global action,' he says.

"Measurements of the magnetic field are not the only evidence for the Sun's variable influence on the Earth. The planet went through a "little ice age" during the 17th Century, at a time when very few sunspots appeared on the surface of the Sun.

"And the so-called "medieval maximum" was a period of warmer than average global weather in the 12th Century. Astronomers believe that the Sun was slightly brighter at that time.

Both annual and 26,000-year cycles of the zodiac were inscribed with a solar cross comprised of a line between two solstices (points when the sun was closest and most distant to the celestial equator) and two equinoxes (points when the center of the sun crosses the celestial equator). The winter solstice, the shortest day of the year in the northern hemisphere on December 21, correlates with the Earth's closest approach to the sun, or perhelion, on January 4. The summer solstice, the longest day of the year in the northern hemisphere on June 21, correlates with the Earth's most distant approach to the sun, or aphelion, on July 4. Thus ancient astronomers addressed the sun's relationship with the celestial sphere and the Earth's relationship to the sun. On equinoxes, now on March 21 and September 21, the sun's center crosses the celestial equator and the days and nights on Earth are equal in length. The dates of solstices and equinoxes constitute periods of shortest daylight, longest daylight and equal daylight compared to darkness in a solar across.

As well as representing one annual orbit of the Earth, the zodiac was applied to a 26,000-year Cosmic Year equivalent to a full cycle of the Earth's wobble in orbit of the sun. Like a top that spins without crossing its center of spin until a larger curve is orbited, the spin of the planet's axis crosses the same center in orbit around the sun every 25,920 years. All celestial bodies have a slight wobble on their axes which causes orbits to be elliptical rather than circular. Because of the wobble, the calendar date for the equinox when night and day are equal will slowly precess over thousands of years. Reflecting the Earth's basic cycle, modern astronomers call this measure of planetary time the precession of equinoxes.

Each of the zodiacal houses represented 1/12 of the complete 25,920-year cycle, or 2,160 years for an astrological age that Plato called a Great Year. Constellations associated with each house depict the inclination of the Earth's axis in its wobble for each age portrayed with a matrix of earth, fire wind and water elements of each zodiacal house. In the 2,160 year of the Age of Aquarius the Earth will be inclined towards that constellation and declined from Leo 180 degrees opposite Aquarius in the zodiac. This theme is carried out with Aquarius' air element contrasted with Leo's fire element representing polar opposites balanced through the zodiac's solar center.

Calling upon the archetypal images of ancient Greece, Plato called time a moving image of eternity to describe the Greek model of cyclic time. This represented recurring sequences of events, or cycles, in a circle or spiral. Early arguments against the Greek's circular models of time and orbits included observations that a circle would continually repeat itself and orbits were actually elliptical. These arguments overlooked the fact that ratios of the 360 degree circle were the basis for calculating spirals and ellipses. The spiral extended the possibility of events occurring at various levels of ascending or descending cyclic patterns.

Quantum physicist David Bohm observed that a curve-linear model of time could simultaneously embrace cyclic time and linear time. In contrast to perpetual cycles, the Hebrews perceived that time spontaneously began with Genesis in 4004 then extended to a specified end in 2004AD, like a linear track on which events move. Although a circle curves continually without beginning or ending, a small distance between two points on a circle's circumference can be seen as linear.

Bohm's curve-linear model is easily translated into a spiral to accommodate archetypes of the proto-human mind that play out in an infinitude of guises. The repetitive curves of a spiral serve to display sequences of continually enacted archetypes in changes that drive civilization. The internal dynamics that spurred Moses to organize Israelites into thousands, hundreds, fifties and tens also inspired America's growth to 50 states with millions of citizens. Are these two quite different situations yet self-similar in their dynamic changes? If the Israelites' wandering in the wilderness to the promised land were archetypes, one would expect to find these embedded in other histories.

From Sumer astrology migrated to Egypt and Greece then Europe where it represented all that was known about the planets. The science of astronomy in Europe evolved from remnants of astrology that survived the Library of Alexandria's burning by a Christian army in the 6th Century AD. Ancient knowledge of the solar system arrayed with a 12-house zodiac was discarded in Europe and replaced with a new model with the Earth at the center of the universe with the Pope as God's pipeline to human fate. Special forgiveness could be purchased for the small price of [just] a few extra coins offered to the Vatican for special building projects like St. Peter's Basilica. Dissenters were tortured or burned at the stake so that the Pope's version of reality was the accepted model of creational ordering when the modern Gregorian calendar was adopted in 1582.

Traveling to America as subjects of England's king, early colonists commingled with Native Americans who had established a cooperative League of Iroquois Nations in the 16th Century. Recognizing their status as foreign nations, the King enforced treaties with Native Americans so the colonists enjoyed overall friendly relationships with them. Many Native Americans spoke their own language in addition to English and French and became Masons.

The Founding Fathers studied Native American governance and Benjamin Franklin modeled his original proposal for new government after the Iroquois League of Nations. The Federalist Papers record Thomas Jefferson's notes on Native American government he studied before framing the Constitution. In 1776 when the Declaration of Independence was penned, the average American newspaper was written at grade 17, or master's level work, in contrast to the Wall Street Journal's 12th grade level.

In the wilderness of America, well educated colonists interacted with the Iroquois League of Nations highly developed model of consensual government before declaring independence in 1776. The colonists had not marched through the Red Sea but had sailed over the waters that removed them from the king's direct gaze. They did not construct the Ark but discovered Native American concepts of Nature's God and the Laws of Nature practiced with similar ritual conventions as the Israelites. Amazingly, the ancient Hebraic laws for constructing altars with unhewn stones were the same as natural stone formations in Native American altars.

The War of Independence with King George was the colonists' equivalent of the promised land offering peace and prosperity to men endowed with inalienable human rights. Like the priests that blew horns to inexplicably cause the fall of Jericho, battles with the King's Army contained mystical elements. In a war with little outward hope for victory, the tide ran against the colonies victory at the Battle of Valley Forge won after George Washington's vision of the future. Despite overwhelming odds, Americans won their promised land, but the victory set a chain of events in motion that would alter national consciousness completely.

The King's treaties that had protected Native American lands were revoked after independence as demand to expand America's boundaries rose. Like Israel, America grew by assimilating other populations and offered refuge to millions of immigrants starving in Europe's famines, who came to America in search of food and land. The majority of immigrants had lived as subject vassals of kings and queens in Europe without education nor experience with democracy. In the absence of a time of wandering in the wilderness, these immigrants set out to battle Native Americans for possession of the land destroying rather than assimilating Native America's legacy.

In 1826 illiteracy was declared a national priority and the Secretary of Health, Education & Welfare commissioned William McGuffey to write primers to educate America's illiterate majority. Expressing the consciousness of warrior-merchants, the immigrants fashioned themselves as a Christian army who configured the Constitutional guarantee of religious freedom to declare Manifest Destiny. The federal policy of Manifest Destiny divined that god's will was that the Christian army possess America from coast to coast to parallel the Hebrew's possession of Canaan. The Declaration of Independence made in keeping with the Laws of Nature and Nature's God to embrace all peoples and all religions had been reduced to justification for a religious war for land.

This federal priority of educate began a new history of a literacy that empowered individuals for higher potentials, slowly integrating the consciousness of America's founding ideal. From America's founding through the Civil War and burning of churches in the 1960's, the nation's ideals have remained constant. Inalienable human rights of life, liberty and pursuit of happiness were granted European vassals in America. The consciousness that interprets and resolves the problems of making these ideals living realities has been in constant change. The Founding Fathers' compromise that allowed placing a human race into slavery was made by same men who enacted the Bill of Rights. Thomas Jefferson, who personally owned slaves, prophesied that if justice prevailed we would pay for the error of slavery. George Washington's will granted freedom to the slaves he individually owned at his death but left the fate of his wife's slaves to her conscience.

Although America's ideals have never been absolutely achieved in any generation, national prosperity has always paralleled education empowering individuals to pursue life, liberty and happiness. At the height of America's influence as a world power during World War II, American students were among the best educated in the world. The Cold War that shifted national priorities away from education to secret projects withholding information preceded the decline of American students to 15th in the world in 1988. In 1999 America's poorly educated students grow increasingly violent and the largest prison population in the world, requiring higher levels of law enforcement. These conditions parallel Israel's decline from the time the Israelites left the wilderness until it was ruled by king like other nations.

Living in peace after leaving the wilderness, judges were later appointed to resolve conflicts by interpreting the law. Samuel was the last judge for Israel when the elders asked him to appoint a king so they would be like the other nations. The Lord advised Samuel, "Listen to all that the people are saying to you; it is not you they have rejected, but they have rejected me as their king. As they have done from the day I brought them up out of Egypt until this day, forsaking me and serving other gods, so they are doing to you... warn them solemnly and let them know what the king who will reign over them will do... He will take a tenth of your flocks and you yourselves will become his slaves. When that day comes, you will cry out for relief from the king you have chosen, and the Lord will not answer you in that day." "No!" they said. "We want a king over us. Then we will be like all the other nations, with a king to lead us and to go out before us and fight our battles..." Samuel 8: 7-21

The shift of national priorities away from education into covert projects began with the National Security Act in 1947 that created a tyranny as powerful as any king. The National Security Act created a security advisory committee to the president that functioned as a secret government unhampered with the checks and balances of the republic. Sweeping powers granted with the National Security Act provided for creating the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to serve as America's spy ring that mentored mind control. Publicly devoted to fighting Communism, the extraterrestrial presence and technologies outweighed all other concerns of the secret government, financed by the nation's huge deficit defense budget.

Since 1940 America had transitioned from a rural nation with about 80% of its people living in rural areas to a super power built by farmers and cowboys who had been called to war then educated with the GI Bill by 1950. During World War II Americans had united around a common goal to win the war overseas and get back home in time for the baby boomers. Americans loved and trusted the government that had led them to victory against a monstrous tyrant who had opened their eyes to the conditions of the globe where they lived. None of America knew that the CIA had imported Nazis into high positions in the Cold War against Communism to develop the next generation of weapons that would include mind control.

The flying saucer at Roswell had crashed in the midst of the military's nuclear sites to catch democracy's fighting men off guard. An embarrassing dilemma for a nation of warriors in any event, this surprise had fallen out of the sky into America's controversial cache of secrets. The new flying saucer would replace the top, top secrets already hidden in the desert when many Americans had rejected atomic energy after Hiroshima to become really, really top secret. Roswell was above top secret in a world of secrets.

The Air Force was quickly created as an autonomous unit out of the Army Air Force in 1948. Somebody had to get the saucers under control before the rest of the country found out about the desert's secrets. Like Colonel Corso, America's young fighting men rode desks with trusty file cabinets filled with secrets in the war for whatever it was that fell out of the sky in the desert; because nobody knew what was above top secret. Ultra top secret classifications were given to those in the know.

Project Blue Book incorporated earlier UFO projects at Wright Patterson Air Force Base with the Air Force's new independent status in 1948. The Project's objective was to investigate every report of an unidentified flying object to explain it. In 22 years Project Blue Book received 12,618 reports and 701 remained unidentified in 1969 when it was terminated. The Air Force Fact Sheet explains that Project Blue Book was terminated subsequent to the Scientific Study of Unidentified Flying Objects at the University of Colorado, also called the Condon Report.

"As a result of these investigations, studies and experience gained from investigating UFO reports since 1948, the conclusions of Project Blue Book were: (1) no UFO reported, investigated and evaluated by the Air Force was ever an indication of threat to our national security; (2) there was no evidence submitted to or discovered by the Air Force that sightings categorized as "unidentified" represented technological developments or principles beyond the range of modern scientific knowledge; and (3) there was no evidence indicating that sightings categorized as "unidentified" were extraterrestrial vehicles."

Consulting astrophysicist for the Air Force, J. Allen Hynek was employed to feather edges of the inexplicable with whatever the market would bear in the fifties. His inventions included attributing UFO sightings to atmospheric inversion layers and swamp gas. Forerunning the post-retirement confessions of Colonel. Philip Corso in The Day After Roswell , Hynek ultimately admitted his role in covering up UFO activity that appeared to be genuine for Project Blue Book.

The official taker of reports, Project Blue Book's termination closed the last port of officialdom to UFO witnesses with the message that unidentified sightings were not extraterrestrial no matter what anyone said. After its creation in Joe McCarthy's heyday, the CIA-inspired Robertson Panel had characterized UFO witnesses as unreliable, delusional or hysterical in 1952 without waiting for results of a study to get in its way. Declared a lunatic fringe by the authority vested in the Robertson Panel, UFO believers were largely ignored before dismissed entirely with Project Blue Book's 1969 closure.

Mind control was the weapon of choice in the Cold War that extended by implication to extraterrestrials. Few citizens knew that mind control had proliferated until secret projects were declassified under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) in the eighties.
